Running away is easy, it’s the leaving that’s hard – vom Kindsein und Loslassen

The exhibition centers on the newly produced video work “Running away is easy, it's the leaving that's hard,” which deals with the theme of leaving rural hometowns. Mauricio Hölzemann and Pierre-Yves Delannoy are both artists and a couple. For their new video, they accompanied each other to their respective hometowns—Filderstadt in Baden-Württemberg and Châlons-en-Champagne in France. They return in order to leave again—this time not in a hurry, but with a conscious farewell. This leads to one thing above all else: a reunion!
