Wednesday to Friday 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday & public holidays 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Closed on December 24, 25 & 31, 2025, and January 1, 2026.
The Kunsthaus and the exhibition rooms are barrier-free.

For groups and school classes, we also offer visits and tours outside opening hours where possible.

Directions
The Kunsthaus Kaufbeuren is located on the south-eastern edge of Kaufbeuren's old town between the adult education centre (Volkshochschule) and the Haus des Handwerks.
by car ↓
As there are no parking spaces available in the old town of Kaufbeuren, we recommend parking in the “Rathaus Parkgarage” or in the “Parkhaus am Kunsthaus”. From there you can reach the Kunsthaus in 3 minutes on foot.
by train ↓
From Munich or Augsburg you can reach Kaufbeuren comfortably and without changing trains in less than an hour by train (Deutsche Bahn).
The walk from the station takes 10 to 15 minutes. Leave the station to the left. At the crossroads, turn right into Ganghoferstraße. This becomes the street Am Graben. Follow it past the new town hall. You will come to a large crossroads. Turn left here into the old town, turn right immediately after the Haus des Handwerks and you will find yourself in the courtyard of the Spitaltor - directly in front of the Kunsthaus.
by bus from the train station ↓
From Kaufbeuren train station you can easily reach the Kunsthaus in 5 minutes by bus line 11. Get off at the “Plärrer” stop. Return to the station from “Rathaus” or “Plärrer” station.
Alternatively, there are cabs waiting right outside the station that will take you directly to the Kunsthaus in 5 minutes.
